Q: What is Colorado Workers' Rights Board?

A: The Workers' Rights Board is made up of community leaders who have made a personal commitment to improving the rights of working people. We recognize that people are often treated unfairly and have no recourse. We created the board to try and find ways to help end that kind of injustice.

Q:
Will the Workers' Rights Board represent me in legal proceedings?

A: No. There are a variety of government agencies and social service organizations that will help when laws have been violated. The Workers' Rights Board is here to help victims of injustice who do not have legal recourse.

Q: How can you help me if I have no legal recourse?

A: By working together with groups of employers who are willing to fight for justice, Workers' Rights Board leaders can use moral persuasion, personal contact and community outreach to attempt to convince employers to treat you fairly.

Q: Is my call confidential?

A: Yes. We will not use your name in any context without your permission. In many cases, groups of workers coming forward publicly could help solve problems most effectively. However, it will be your choice whether to participate.
