The Labor Liberation Workshop is a multi-media popular education program of Colorado Jobs with Justice. In this workshop we explore the history and roots of worker struggle, the complexities of the labor movement and the intersections of diverse identities, and what building a community vision of worker power might look like with a lens of racial and economic justice. The workshop is intended to build a grassroots movement for labor justice, support inter-sectional organizations and groups in Denver and animate people to participate in direct action for worker rights. The goal of the workshop is for participants to come away with increased awareness and pride about their place within the labor movement as well as new insights regarding how to build an inclusive and powerful movement. Additionally, the workshop employs anti-oppression analysis to facilitate exploration of the concepts of power, privilege, structural and institutional oppression and how they relate to the labor movement.
